Downtown/Monument Circle

The heart of Indianapolis is vibrant with new construction, new housing, trendy restaurants, cultural activities, and nightlife. The three-level Circle Centre shopping mall spans two blocks and features store anchors, Nordstroms and Parisian, as well as 100 smaller stores, such as The Gap, Coach, and an official Indianapolis Motor Speedway shop. The Indianapolis Artsgarden, an eye-catching, avant-garde bubble, suspended over the street, is attached to the mall and hosts art exhibits and musical performances. The City Market, a permanent food mecca filled with vendors selling produce, flowers, spices, and all sorts of food items, is just two blocks from Monument Circle. Nightclubs, sidewalk cafes, and restaurants--over 200 of them--make sure visitors and residents alike enjoy their evenings. Jazz clubs, such as the legendary Chatterbox on Indiana Avenue, feature nightly live entertainment and have been known to see drop-in guests, such as Mick Jagger after a concert. Indianapolis makes it easy for visitors to get around the downtown area with a free shuttle called the Blue Line Circulator, that connects Monument Circle with the Convention Center, Victory Field, the Eiteljorg Museum, City Centre Mall, and the City Market.

Broad Ripple

Just north of downtown, Broad Ripple is a sort of village within the city. Full of antique stores, trendy boutiques, exciting nightlife, and young urban pioneers, this is a funky as it gets in the Midwest. Nightlife abounds here, with a host of wine bars, ethnic restaurants, and jazz clubs, such as the Jazz Cooker on Broad Ripple Avenue, competing for visitors. Restored Victorian buildings here have been turned into one-of-a-kind loft apartments and eclectic condo spaces.

Noblesville/Fishers

Noblesville and Fishers are Indianapolis' fast-growing northern suburbs. Accessible to downtown Indianapolis via I-65 and I-465, these two communities offer the relaxing pace of the country, affordable single-family homes, lots of green spaces, and well-respected schools.
